Event Description
The City of Conyers is proud to present the 29th Annual Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival on March 27and 28, 2010 at the Georgia International Horse Park. The Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival has been named a prestigious "Top 20" event by the Southeast Tourism Society for March 2010. The Cherry Blossom Festival originated as a way to encourage cultural understanding and friendship through international music, dance, games, food and crafts. The festival offers multiple stages for continuous entertainment, over 300 booths consisting of arts and crafts vendors, various children's activities and civic and nonprofit organizations. The hours of the festival are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. There is a $5.00 charge for parking for one day parking or an $8.00 parking pass is an option to attend both days of the festival. FESTIVAL INFORMATION Dates: Saturday and Sunday, March 27-28, 2010 Times: 10:00AM-5:00PM Location: The festival will take place at the Georgia International Horse Park's Grand Prix Plaza. Features: The festival is filled with visual arts and crafts, continuous performances on multiple stages featuring international and local entertainment, a variety of food booths and a large, interactive children's area. Achievements: The festival is celebrating 29 years with the 2010 festival. In 2007, 2008 and 2009, the Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival was awarded "Best Festival in the Southeast" at the Southeast Festivals and Events Region Conference. The 2010 Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival has been named as a Top 20 Event in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society.
